Software Updates
Supervisors:
- Software updates are done at least once a week when the lab is available
- Computers must be logged on to consultant in order to update
- Malwarebytes Anti-Malware database version must be updated regularly, at least once a week
- Scans should be run every other week on the lab user account (SOCSCI##) NOT consultant
- Restart all computers after updates, and log them in as lab user by unchecking the workstation only box.
- All version updates should be recorded on the Software Updates spreadsheet as well as on the Lab Software page
- Take note of any computers that are acting up
- Lead and supervise lab assistants if they are helping with the updates
Lab Assistants:
- Software updates are guided by a supervisor
- You are not expected to have prior knowledge for any of the updates
- You may be asked to help with the updating process which will be explained to you by a supervisor
