Setting up and using Netscape Composer to edit and save your page1. Make sure that Netscape is set to provide relative links to all embedded images and so on: Edit - Preferences: In the Preference window, click the + next to Composer and then click Publishing; in the Publishing Preferences window, make sure that both the "Maintain links" and "Keep images with page" checkboxes are checked. You can leave the default publishing location items blank, since you won't actually be using the Publish feature. 2. Create a subfolder on your PC for the web page you are creating (e.g. C:\My Documents\website\CV-MainPage): For any pages that involve multiple files - in other words, that require image files as well as the html file - it is probably a good idea to keep the page in its own separate subfolder (with all its component files). This will organize your website on your PC so as to prevent confusion when using SSH to upload your page. In contrast to when you can use Composer's Publish feature, when you must use SSH, you will have to know exactly which files must be uploaded in order to update (or create) each page on your website. (If you don't know how to create a subfolder, consult anyone with a bit of experience with Windows.)
3. Use Netscape Composer to edit your page. When finished, do not try to use the Publish feature. Instead, select Save As from the File menu in order to save the page to the folder on your PC that you have created for it. In the Save As dialog box, make sure that the filename given is correct.
