Lab
Assistant position. Duties are to supervise the Social Sciences
Computing Lab during walk-in hours; set up the Lab for classes; handle routine
maintenance and troubleshooting of computers and printers; deal with problems
when they occur; help users familiarize themselves with the Lab's software setup;
assist the Director with administrative tasks, upgrade projects, and web site
maintenance and development. Currently, the Lab is operating with Windows
2000 and features a range of applications, for internet browsing, word processing,
mapping, statistics, and so on. $9.16 per hour.
Qualifications: Must be mature, responsible, intelligent Hunter student with some computer experience. Best if social sciences student with statistical computing experience (SPSS, Stata, or SAS applications).
