Instructions for Paper Rewrites
You may submit your paper rewrite at any point up until May 27th, the date when the take-home final is due. As with the final exam, the rewrite must be placed in my mailbox in the department office by noon on the 27th. Extensions will be given only for documented, valid excuses. As per the course syllabus, the rewrite will replace the original paper grade (unless the new grade is lower, in which case the old one stands). Any student who met all preliminary deadlines and who turned in a paper by the original due date of April 26th may submit a rewrite. Papers may not be sent by fax or e-mail.
You must return the original paper with my comments when you turn in the rewrite so I can determine how effectively you have responded to criticisms and suggestions. Be sure to include full citations. Before you rewrite the paper, review the assignment itself and the paper-writing guidelines (both of which are available on-line on my web page), as well as my comments on the paper itself. I will make no comments on paper rewrites but I will mark the new grade. You may pick up your papers (originals and rewrites) from the department office beginning about one week after May 27th.
