The Hoyt Stress & Coping Lab is directed by Michael A. Hoyt, Ph.D., Department of Psychology, Hunter College, City University of New York. Our research focuses on biobehavioral processes related to psychological adjustment and coping in the context of chronic disease and health-related adversity.We seek to understand the common pathways (e.g., psychological, behavioral, and psychobiological) related to the onset and recovery from physical illnesses.

The Hoyt Stress and Coping Laboratory includes post-doctoral fellows, graduate students, study coordinators, undergraduate research assistants, and volunteers.
