I am Nahoko Abe and live in Leonia, New Jersey. I was born
in Osaka, Japan. I am married and have three kids(two daughters
and one son). My e-mail address shows my daughters' names: Sari
and Fubuki. My son, Amane, was born here last year, so he
is the only American citizen in my family.
I graduated from Kanazawa
University in Japan long ago. My major was Environmental and
Construction Engineering. I worked for the
Yokohama City Government as an architect and planner for ten years.
Two years ago I quit my job and came here from Japan due to my husband’s
work. I enrolled at Hunter College last September in order to study
urban planning. I hope to go back to Japan in a couple of years.
Therefore, I hope to graduate from college by that time and would like
to work in the public or non-profit sectors again if possible.
