All CUNY faculty and students are entitled to a free download of Symantec AntiVirus for use on an off-campus computer. This download is accessible through the CUNY eMall on the CUNY Portal

• Download Latest Virus Definitions
• Schedule Automatic Updates to Virus Definitions
• Scan Hard Drives
• Disable Tamper Protection

Hunter College previously made available McAfee VirusScan (PC) and Virex (Mac). Hunter College no longer supports this product. The SSCL recommends that all users switch to Symantec AntiVirus. The following information is provided for people who have previously installed McAfee do not wish to switch:
